Near Space Club is a high-altitude ballooning club at the University of Arizona. We launch helium balloons carrying experiments, technology demonstrations, and other projects to the stratosphere, reaching altitudes of up to 40 kilometers. We provide our members with opportunities to engage in STEM activities, such as coding, electronic circuit design, atmospheric sciences, and biological sciences. We offer access to the near-space environment as a free service to University of Arizona students.

As of 2024, we are conducting high-altitude balloon launches. Click on the "About" menu at the top of this page to find our social media links and meeting times/locations. Email us at nearspaceclub@gmail.com if you would like to get involved or are interested in flight opportunities!
